**Usage Guide**
- Active Treatment Phase: Take 2 capsules orally daily with a meal as soon as you begin using your NeuEve BV Clear or age-specific suppository. During this phase, avoid vaginal insertion of probiotics to ensure the suppository can work without interference.
- Maintenance Phase: Once your BV has cleared, you may insert 1 capsule vaginally once daily on the days you are not using a NeuEve maintenance suppository.
**Why This Matters**
- Environment First: Probiotics often fail on their own because the vaginal environment (the "pond") must be restored by NeuEve before beneficial bacteria (the "fish") can thrive.
- Restoring Balance: A healthy microbiome requires at least a 10-to-1 ratio of good bacteria to bad. If you have recurring BV or have recently used antibiotics, your protective Lactobacillus levels are likely depleted.
- Effective Delivery: Oral doses are higher (2 capsules) to ensure enough beneficial bacteria survive stomach acid. Vaginal insertion allows for direct, localized colonization.
- Safety & Precision: We specifically recommend NeuEve probiotics because many other brands contain aggressive strains that can lead to Lactobacillus overgrowth, causing a painful condition known as cytolytic vaginosis (CV).
**Probiotic Tips & Information**
- Vaginal Application: Most users successfully use the oral capsules as vaginal inserts. If you prefer not to insert a capsule, you can open it and apply the powder directly to the vaginal walls using a clean cotton swab.
- Storage: Probiotics are sensitive to heat and moisture. To maximize their shelf life and potency, store them in the refrigerator immediately upon receipt.
- Duration of Use: While long-term probiotic use supports vaginal and urinary health, a single bottle of NeuEve Vaginal Probiotics is often sufficient to restore your flora.
- Oral Benefits: Beyond vaginal health, taking probiotics orally supports your immune system, aids digestion, and maintains healthy flora throughout the body.
