I am using BV Clear. Does alcohol (beer or wine on occasion) effect the treatment?

About alcohol, I am glad that you asked this question.

A common antibiotic drug for BV is metronidazole. Its commercial name is Flagyl. When a woman is on Flagyl, alcohol can cause significant side effects.

The reaction between Flagyl and alcohol is like the effects of Antabuse (disulfiram). Antabuse is a drug that treats alcoholism by making patients highly sensitive to alcohol.

Both Antabuse and Flagyl cause the patient feeling sick after consuming even a small amount of alcohol.

NeuEve BV Clear or any NeuEve products are made with all natural, organic and food-grade ingredients. They are chemicals free and drug free. They have no interference with alcohol or any drugs, foods or drinks.

However, when you consume alcohol, please remember drinking in moderation. Overdrinking alcohol can be bad for your health regardless if you are on BV treatment.
