AV Clear Instructions
1. When AV may be suspected
Aerobic vaginitis (AV) may cause persistent vaginal irritation or pain, redness, and abnormal discharge. AV can be associated with bacteria such as E. coli, Enterococcus, Staphylococcus, Klebsiella, Streptococcus, iners and other aerobic bacteria.
Juno or Evvy Testing is recommended when possible to confirm the cause of your symptoms.
2. AV Clear
Mild cases:
1–2 packs may be sufficient.
More stubborn cases:
If you have already used antibiotics, boric acid, or other treatments multiple times without relief, you may need 3 or more packs.
Standard course:
Use 3 packs of AV Clear (9 suppositories total). Insert 1 suppository daily for 9 days.
If your AV symptoms are cleared after the course, take a short break and then begin a suitable maintenance product.
If symptoms have not cleared, you may need additional AV Clear. Some stubborn cases may require 5–6 packs in total. If symptoms persist, we recommend testing or consulting your healthcare provider rather than continuing treatment without knowing the cause.
3. Maintenance
After AV is cleared, use an age-appropriate NeuEve suppository for at least 3 months to help maintain vaginal balance:
• BV Clear: under age 40
• Gold: age 40–48
• Silver: age 48–55
• Silk: age 55–70
• Velvet: over age 70
4. Probiotics
During the maintenance phase, you may take NeuEve Vaginal Probiotics orally each day.
If using the probiotic vaginally, use it only on days when you are not using a NeuEve suppository.
In Summary
1. Clear AV: AV Clear — 1 suppository daily for 9 days.
2. Maintenance: Use an age-appropriate NeuEve suppository for at least 3 months.
3. Support the microbiome: Add NeuEve Vaginal Probiotics during the maintenance phase.
It is also important to reduce the bacterial load in potential reservoirs that may harbor aerobic bacteria, which can re-infect the vaginal tract after it has cleared unwanted bacteria. The four potential reservoirs include:
- The bladder, which often harbors bacteria such as E. coli and Enterococcus.
- The colon, which frequently hosts E. coli, Enterococcus, and Group B streptococcus.
- The skin is typically a reservoir for Staphylococcus.
- An intimate partner, who may carry bacteria from you before you used AV Clear.
