The next day a chunk leaked out. Is this normal?

In the second morning, I noticed that a chunk of suppository leaked out. Should I be worried about it?

First, it’s good to know that body temperature can fluctuate, especially during menopause when hormonal changes affect so many things. The suppository is designed to melt at the average body temp of 98.6°F, and most of our 100,000+ users don’t have issues. But if your body runs cooler (which some women’s do, especially if thyroid levels are low), that could explain why it’s not dissolving as quickly.

A couple things that might help:

  • If you haven’t already, try taking your temperature over a few days to see if it’s consistently low. If it is, checking in with your doctor could be helpful.
  • Sometimes, vaginal dryness can slow down absorption at first. The good news? This often improves with regular use as moisture returns.
  • What you’re seeing that doesn’t dissolve right away is just the starch filler (it keeps the suppository intact during shipping). Don’t worry—it’ll dissolve completely soon after insertion.

Tips from our community:

  1. Try cutting the suppository lengthwise (here’s our easy guide) and using half every other day. Inserting it deeper can help too.
  2. One of our customers swears by this trick: Warm a water bottle (microwave for 40-60 sec—test first so it’s just slightly warmer than body temp!), then place it on your lower belly for 20 minutes after insertion. The gentle heat helps tremendously!
