Stitches can usually be removed within 7 to 10 days of surgery. Absorbable stitches can take longer to dissolve. It may take some time like 4 weeks after removal of stitches for your surgical wound to completely heal. Then, it will be safe to use any treatment products.
ButĀ for the balm cream, it is applied to the external vulva, which is distant from the surgical wounds. You may use the balm to the external vulva a few days after your stitches are removed.
However, if you wound has an infection, you will need to manage the infection first before you can use other products. An indication of a possible infection is pain and swelling at the surgery site.
