How do I use the BV Clear to clear BV?

1)    Start time

The best time to start the treatment is the next day or a few days after your period is cleared. You will have the longest time to treat BV without interference by menstrual period.

If you no longer have period, like you had hysterectomy or are postmenopausal, you can start at any time. But you will need to start with a milder formula and move up to BV Clear stepwise to avoid possible intolerance due to menopausal related vaginal atrophy.

Why do we not use the suppositories during our menstrual periods? It sets back a whole week, correct?

2)    Application frequency and duration

You need to determine your BV severity first and treat your BV based on its severity.

How do I determine my BV severity?

1) If your BV is mild, you can purchase 1 pack of BV Clear to clear it, using 1 suppository every 3 days and the total treatment period is 9 days.

[Use 1 suppository on Day 1------>Day 4------>Day 7----->Completion (Total 3 suppositories in 9 days with a 3-day interval)]

2) If your BV is moderate, you can purchase 2 packs of BV Clear to clear it, using 1 suppository every 3 days for the first pack. If BV is not cleared by day 9, use one suppository every other day for the second pack.
[Use 1 suppository on Day 1-->Day 4-->Day 7-->(if BV is not cleared by day 9)-->Day 9-->Day 11--> Day 13-->Completion on day 15 (Total 6 suppositories in 15 days)]

3) If your BV is severe, you can purchase 3 packs of BV Clear to clear it, using 1 suppository every 3 days for the first pack and every other day for the 2nd and 3rd packs until you complete all 3 packs of BV Clear.  The total treatment period is 21 days.

[Use 1 suppository on Day 1-->Day 4-->Day7-->(if BV is not cleared by day 9)-->Day 9-->Day 11--> Day 13-->((if BV is not cleared by day 15)-->Day 15-->Day 17--> Day 19-->Completion on Day 21). (Total 9 suppositories in 21 days)]

Warning: Using BV Clear more frequently than once every other day may cause irritation.

Increasing the application frequency stepwise can avoid possible irritation because you can gain tolerance after using the product once every 3 days. However, if you feel burning after using the first BV Clear suppository, you need to follow the suggestion in this article:

I felt burning after using BV Clear. What should I do?

Please mark your calendar based on the BV Clear application schedule listed above. Skipping doses may allow a severe type of BV to recur.

If your BV symptoms are completely cleared before finishing the products, you can use 1 more suppository to assure that the BV is indeed cleared. Then, you can shift to the maintenance mode.

3) Stop BV from coming back

After your BV is cleared, it is important to do maintenance.

How to stop BV from coming back?

If your BV is a presumptive mild case but is not cleared by using 1 pack of BV Clear, it may be a moderate case and you will need to use 2 packs to clear it as described above. However, if you have used 3 packs of BV Clear but your BV is still not cleared, your case may be very severe. You can try the advanced formula designed for clearing stubborn type of BV. It is called BV Clear Finisher

If you are over 45 or have vaginal dryness and painful sex and have a stubborn case of BV, you cannot use BV Clear or BV Clear Finisher upfront because you may feel burning due vaginal atrophy. You can find the right product for clearing your BV by reading this article:
