I took a multivitamin pill and felt headache. What should I do?

Thank you for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear about the side effects you're experiencing with the Legacy multivitamin. We understand how frustrating this can be.

Some customers have reported similar symptoms, which may be due to the vitamin B family content, such as niacin, that can increase blood supply to the brain and potentially cause headaches (known as niacin flush).

Here are a few tips that might help alleviate the headache:

  • Take the pill with a meal instead of on an empty stomach.
  • Ensure you drink plenty of water when taking the pill to prevent dehydration, which can have a diuretic effect similar to coffee.
  • Try dividing the pill into two halves or four quarters and take 1/2 or just 1/4 pill per day. After you take a partial pill for a few weeks, you may be able to tolerate the whole pill.

I hope these suggestions help you manage the side effects. If you continue to experience headaches despite trying these tips, please let us know.
